Greenlight Consulting
What is Greenlight?
We are a consulting team specializing in entertainment. MEA already brings the entertainment business to members, but Greenlight flips the script, bringing members into the entertainment business. We tackle real-world business problems and work directly with real clients, giving our team the chance to shape the industry from the inside.
The Opening Act
To kick off Greenlight, we’re partnering with The Walt Disney Company.
Our inaugural project puts us at the heart of one of the world's most iconic entertainment companies, setting the stage for creative strategy and impactful solutions.
Greenlight FAQ
Q: Can non-members apply?
A: Yes! Greenlight is open to both MEA members and non-members. If you’re not currently a member, your program fee will automatically include a one-year MEA membership so you can take advantage of our events, panels, and community in addition to the Greenlight experience.
Q: How much time should I expect to commit each week?
A: Expect to spend around 2–4 hours per week over the 5–7 week program. This includes weekly team check-ins and independent work outside of meetings. The exact workload may shift slightly depending on team size and the scope of the project once the cohort is finalized.
Q: What will we actually be doing in the program?
A: You’ll be consulting for Disney’s Platform Distribution sales team. The first phase will focus on research and data gathering, followed by synthesizing insights and preparing short presentations for team meetings. The program will culminate with a final presentation to Disney’s team, likely at their offices.
Q: What days will meetings take place?
A: Weekly check-ins will be scheduled based on the availability of the accepted cohort. We’ll coordinate meeting times once the team is confirmed.
Q: How long does the project last?
A: The Disney project will span the remainder of the semester. Once you’re part of Greenlight, you’ll also be eligible for future consulting project opportunities.
Q: Is there a participation fee?
A: Yes. The fee is $40 for current MEA members and $60 for non-members.
For members, the $40 fee helps cover program expenses and is kept as low as possible to make the experience accessible.
For non-members, the $60 fee includes a one-year MEA membership (a $20 value). This means you won’t just be joining the Greenlight Program — you’ll also gain access to MEA’s events, panels, workshops, and community for the rest of the year.
We’ve structured the fee this way to keep costs fair and transparent, while making sure everyone has access to the full benefits of MEA. Given the unique opportunity to work directly with Disney on a real consulting project, we believe the value of the program far exceeds the participation cost.
